Abby Minor lives in the ridges and valleys of central Pennsylvania, where she works on poems, essays, gardens, paintings, quilts, and projects for reproductive justice. She’s received fellowships, residencies, and awards from Bitch Media, Split this Rock, The Rensing Center, The Penland School of Crafts, and the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust. A board member of Abortion Conversation Projects, she is the founding director of Ridgelines Language Arts and has taught poetry classes in her region’s low-income nursing homes since 2012. Her poems and essays have been published in CutBank, apt, Bitch, Fence, The Fourth River, So to Speak, BlazeVOX, and others; her chapbooks are Plant Light, Dress Light (dancing girl press, 2016) and Real Words for Inside (Gap Riot Press, 2018). She occasionally organizes anarchic community art programs for kids.
