Description

Perfect for early readers from Kindergarten to Third Grade, this beginner’s chapter book features full-color illustrations and an inspiring heroine for all girls in STEAM.

Meet Necessity Johnson: The Little Girl with Big Dreams!

Necessity is short, the shortest person in her class. She’s not about to let that stop her from her dream of one day flying seaplanes, though! Necessity is learning that any obstacle can be overcome with a lot of hard work, a curious mind, and an inventor’s sense of creativity.

With the encouragement of her mother and the help of a pilot named Rosario, Necessity is going to learn to walk on water, float on the wind, and believe in her own dreams. After all, her mother named her Necessity, and Necessity is the Mother of Invention!

A sweet story about a little girl trying to find her purpose. Love that it takes place in the Pacific NW. The illustrations are lovely and the subject is inspirational. I just wish there had been a little more to the ending, but even without that, it’s a lovely book that was easy to enjoy.
