Description

Haunani-Kay Trask is a professor at the University of Hawai’i. Her books include Eros and Power: The Promise of Feminist Theory (University of Pennsylvania Press), From a Native Daughter: Colonialism and Sovereignty in Hawai’i (University of Hawai’i Press), and Night Is a Sharkskin Drum(University of Hawai’i Press). She is also a  nationalist and an organizer. She co-produced the award winning film “Act of War” chronicling the American invasion of Hawai’i. Ms. Trask is the recipient of numerous awards, including “Islander of the Year” awarded by Honolulu Magazine.
