Description
Jean Hegland was born in eastern Washington, and moved to northern California in the mid-eighties, where she has divided her time between raising her family, teaching, and writing. Jean’s first novel, Into the Forest, has been translated into over a dozen languages and is a frequent choice for campus- and community-wide reading programs. A film version starring Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2015. DANS LA FORÊT, the 2017 French translation of Into the Forest has been a best-seller in France. A graphic novel adaptation is in production.
