I feel a little like a voyeur hearing Emily share these moments of her life. Knowing her, her children and husband my mind constructs images of that which she writes.
We can never really know each other… but a poem like this is generous offering of a glimpse into someone else’s domestic life and home. It not only allows us to get to know more about them but it offers us consolations of similarities.
Thanks Emily, we really enjoyed listening to that!
