Bookish Duo #2 was featured in a 2023 one-woman exhibition at Astoria Visual Arts, “Bookish: Ceramic Sculpture and Photography.” In the “not too hard/not too soft” state clay can become paper-like, the book form can be deconstructed—movement within stasis, pages curl and unfurl. Clay is the perfect medium to simulate this likeness.

Willa Schneberg’s ceramic sculpture is in galleries and museums in Tennessee, Massachusetts, and Oregon. Her work has been featured in Art Fluent and Women United Art Magazine, was juried into the 2024 Cascades Aids Project Art Auction, and is in the permanent collection of the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education.
